Original sumi ink and watercolor painting on cold press paper

This rhododendron was given to me by my mother who picked the best from her yard (as she always does - saving the best for others). It was breathtaking and the only way I knew of honoring that gift was to paint it. The painting reminds me of her kindness and generous spirit that I can only hope to imitate.
