Most of my floral paintings start as a kind gift from a friend or family member and this was no exception.

This bouquet of delphinium blew me away. Without much knowledge about flowers, I was shocked in the best way to see my favorite deep blue-purple color in front of me. After spending a long time admiring them, it was time to get painting to remember them and to respond in gratitude for this thoughtful bouquet from a dear friend.
